About Elwood:

Elwood is an ultra-healthy cat with a long life ahead of him. He is up-to-date with his shots and has been neutered. He has been chipped as well.
Once comfortable in a family setting, Elwood is affectionate and pleasant. He is a litterbox-trained indoor cat.
You will need to get a cat tower for him. He will lay on it for hours and look what goes on outside.
Elwood is an FIV-positive cat. He has no symptoms of any kind. He may have an entirely normal lifespan, but of course it is not guaranteed.
The only difference with FIV-positive cats is that you cannot mix them with non-FIV cats. Otherwise they are just cats! Information on FIV-positive cats
Elwood is uncommonly gentle, lets you hold him indefinitely and loves human affection. He is super sweet!
Cat Talk
Elwood is very healthy. Pictures of Elwood’s recommended food and supplements with instructions are below.
Elwood is a well-behaved house cat. It is important to provide him with scratching logs to satisfy his need to trim his nails. He is not destructive at all.
Elwood must not ever be declawed under any circumstances. lf you have furniture or expensive objects in your house that need protection from cats, Elwood is not the right cat for you.
Declawing him would be tantamount to cutting the fingers off a talented musician. lt would destroy his playful personality. lt would ruin his life.
Elwood loves attention from his owners and enjoys being pampered. He will make a great pet for you for years to come.
Care and lnstructions
- Food: “Stella & Chewy’s Raw Coated Kibble”. Pet Supermarket carries the brand.
Serve it in a bowl, so that it is available to him all day. He will not overeat. He needs plenty of water always available. ln the evening, Elwood will eat one small can of Fancy Feast Pate, whatever flavor. Be sure to mix in all the supplements in the can kitty food at night, so that he gets his vital supplements with certainty. That will keep him healthy. Serve Elwood’s can kitty food in a shallow, non-metallic bowl. Any common saucer or small plate will do.
- The other supplements that will keep him healthy and are easy to mix with can kitty food are: DINOVITE powder, which can be ordered on Amazon.
- Omega-oil product called LickOchops.
- Viralys L-Lysine Supplement is a vital supplement for cats to build their immune system. Serve it on top of canned kitty food. Order on Amazon.
4. Elwood drinks a lot of water and needs big bowls of water around.
5. While dry cat food is satisfying and easy, we recommend supplementing Elwood’s food with Stella & Chewy’s dried morsels. lt is available at Pet Supermarket. Simply soak the morsels for a few minutes in warm water and then give the morsels to the cat as treats. Elwood loves them. lt is a super-healthy treat.
6. Elwood needs space to run and climb. He will both do great with older children.
7. Elwood is an indoor cat only. He will not survive outdoors. He must not ever be allowed outside.
